Jewellery care guide

All our jewelry has been made with love by us, to be well-loved by you. With proper care, it will continue to shine!

How to Wear

  • The more intentional you are about caring for your jewelry, the longer it will last.

  • Remove your jewelry before doing any activity that risks physical damage.

  • As a general care tip, your jewelry should be the last thing you put on before going out and the first thing you remove upon coming home.

    How to Care

The jewellery pieces made of brass/zinc/copper or any other alloy need care and protection as they may tarnish if used aggressively.

    • Remove your jewellery when exercising, showering, swimming and hand washing.
    • Keep jewellery away from direct heat, perfumes, water, deodorants and strong chemicals as they may react with the metal or plating.
    • Do not rub or scratch your jewellery against other pieces to avoid the plating from wearing off.
    • Wipe jewellery gently with a chamois cloth after every use to add to its life.
    • Preserve your jewellery always in a pouch provided.

Our stainless steel pieces, on the other hand are completely water resistant, hypoallergenic and tarnish proof for a longer time. But we do recommend to care for them keeping in mind the lasttwo factors in the points mentioned above to add more to its life.

    GOLD-PLATED 316L STAINLESS STEEL JEWELLERY

Whether it is plated in 14K or 18K gold or simply polished, 316L stainless steel jewellery looks as shiny and is as light as sterling silver or gold jewellery. Thanks to this metal’s hypoallergenic properties, our jewellery is safe to wear, even for the most sensitive skins. An 14K/18K GOLD PVD coating is vacuum sealed to stainless steel jewelry. This process creates a thick layer of gold on the surface of the metal. The PVD coating makes the jewelry more resistant to tarnishing from sweat and water.

Our stainless steel jewelry is tarnish resistant but it can become dull with wear. Our natural body oils, lotions, etc can build up and your jewelry might need a little bath from time to time.

    • Use mild dish soap and lukewarm water and soak for just a few minutes.
    • Use a soft-bristle toothbrush to gently scrub any dirt away after it soaks.
    • Use a gentle cloth to immediately wipe any residue/dirt in order to prevent any tarnishing

Our PVD stainless steel jewelry is tarnish resistant. It can get wet but it is recommended to avoid perfumes and lotions. The gold may fade with time but it will never tarnish. It is considered hypoallergenic and safe for most. Your own PH levels may affect the wear of this material.

    925 STERLING SILVER

925  Sterling Silver  is a lightweight metal made of 92.5% pure silver. It’s highly durable and designed for everyday wear. What to know about wearing sterling silver jewelry -

    • Proactive maintenance is the best way to prolong the lifespan of sterling silver.
    • Clean by wiping with a soft, damp cloth. To remove tarnish, buff gently with a silver polishing cloth.

Please note: If you’re wearing pieces made of oxidized silver, they will need to be cleaned differently. Oxidized silver products have a special finish, so we recommend a dry clean—no water or silver cleaning polish—otherwise finish may rub off entirely.

HOW TO STORE YOUR GG JEWELRY

    • Store in a safe, dry place in the anti-tarnish pouch that came with your purchase to protect from the elements of daily exposure.
    • Wipe your jewellery with the clean dry soft cloth after each use and before storage.
    • All of our jewelry cases have an anti-tarnish microsuede lining for ease of care, and best for travelling!
